The Green Offsets Foundation of Canada is committed to accelerating Canada’s transition to low-carbon public transportation. We channel individual and corporate offset donations into projects that directly reduce greenhouse-gas emissions through raising public awareness and the deployment of zero-emission buses and supporting infrastructure.
We believe it is government's duty to it's citizens to reduce, stop, and remove GHGs from the atmosphere. Our leaders ignore the grave danger to Canadians and to the planet that is the climate crisis. They all keep "kicking it down the road." Well, we have "run out of road" and now we are suffering massive wild fires, catastrophic floods, heat waves, droughts, storms etc. Since they are not doing their job, if the planet as we know it is to survive then we must take ownership by (a) reducing our own carbon footprints where possible and (b) offsetting when we cannot reduce.
Our mission is clear: to make climate action tangible, transparent, local AND simple. Every contribution to the Foundation supports raising public awareness and real-world decarbonization projects in Canadian cities—helping communities improve air quality, create sustainable jobs, and move toward net-zero.
Founded by Reaching For Zero Ltd., the Foundation works in partnership with transit authorities and municipalities across the country to support initiatives that reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and promote public awareness of low-carbon transportation solutions.
Donations are used by the Foundation to further its charitable purposes.
