The General Fund: Fuel for the First Partnership

Every great journey begins with a first step.
While we work with cities across Canada to join the Green Offsets program, donations are collected in a General Fund.
The first municipality to sign on will receive these funds to kick-start its transition to zero-emission transit — a visible symbol of early climate leadership.

Cities not yet partnered?
Your donation will go into our General Fund, to be awarded to the first partner city that commits and signs on to The Green Offsets Foundation’s zero-emission bus project.

Step 3: Select Municipality (for information only)

Note: Selecting a city that is not yet partnered does not earmark your donation for that city. Until partnerships are confirmed, donations go to the General Fund.

All General Fund contributions are held in trust by The Green Offsets Foundation of Canada and will be allocated to the first municipal partner confirmed under our national zero-emission transit initiative (see our Allocation Policy).

Please note that only donations of $20 or greater will be issued tax receipts.
